What if God Is Speaking Through a Song You Would Never Expect?

“Behold, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19

When we think of how God communicates, we often picture burning bushes, booming voices, or ancient scrolls. But what if He is reaching millions of modern hearts through the melodies of pop culture?

I was scrolling through what millions of girls were listening to — girls who may have never walked into a church, who may never open a Bible — and I heard the Gospel. It revealed something about how God is moving in this generation.

The Great Expectation We All Share

There is a massive spiritual community out there — people who may have never stepped foot in a church — who talk about “Christ consciousness” and “the Ascension.” They speak of humanity rising from the fourth to the fifth dimension, waiting for an accelerated awakening and a collective leap into a higher state of being.

Christians are waiting for something that sounds remarkably similar. We call it the Great Revival. We believe a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit is coming before Jesus returns to awaken sleeping hearts and ignite dormant faith.

It reminds me of when Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:22). She worshiped a God whose name she did not know. Jesus did not tell her she worshiped a false God — He told her she did not yet know the name of the One she was reaching for. Or when the disciples saw someone casting out demons in Jesus’ name who was not in their group (Mark 9:38-40). Different cultures, different communities — aren’t we talking about the same thing?

A Message Disguised as a Pop Song

In 2025, an animated film on Netflix broke records, and its soundtrack became an anthem for millions of young girls worldwide. One song, “We Are Golden,” carries a message that feels almost impossible to ignore.

The song speaks of a coming day when we will shine, glow together, and rise. It paints a picture of a world where fear and sorrow have no more place — where the light inside our hearts finally breaks through the surface.

When I first heard this song, it struck me deeply — because the Lord Jesus had already taken me to a dimension where our bodies were golden. I will share that story in my next post.

Artists do not fully invent. Songs are received. An artist cannot write a true song without inspiration. It has to come from above. We know we live in a fallen world, and inspiration doesn’t always come from the kingdom of light. We must discern. But sometimes, an artist channels something prophetic without even knowing it.

This is not a coincidence. God’s mercy extends to the whole world. How much more to every young girl who has never heard the name of Jesus? He is reaching her — through music, through beauty, through a melody that ministers directly into her heart.

The Stone the Builders Rejected

The woman who wrote that song has a story that mirrors one of Scripture’s most powerful patterns.

Her name is Ejae. At eleven years old, she began training at a major entertainment agency in South Korea. She trained relentlessly for over a decade. By twenty-two, she was dropped. They told her voice was not good enough.

Rejected as a performer, she turned to songwriting because it was the only thing left. She kept writing hits for other artists. And then came Golden — the song that won her an Oscar and a Golden Globe, giving voice to the film that broke every record.

At her Golden Globe acceptance, she said: “Rejection is redirection. It’s never too late to shine like you were born to.”

“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” — Psalm 118:22

Joseph, sold by his brothers. David, overlooked by his father. And Jesus Himself. God does not choose what already shines. He chooses what was discarded, and He lights it up.

If you are in your own dark decade — working harder than anyone and no one sees it — you are not wasting time. You are being prepared. The Lord is going to use you as the cornerstone in the very place where you were rejected.

Be the Queen You’re Supposed to Be

The song also carries another message: the realization of not knowing how to believe you were the queen you were always meant to be.

That stopped me. Because this is not just a pop lyric — it is a spiritual truth the Church has struggled to receive for centuries.

Jesus Himself addressed this. When they accused Him of blasphemy for calling Himself the Son of God, He answered: “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? If He called them gods to whom the word of God came, do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?” (John 10:34-36)

He was quoting Psalm 82:6: “I said, ‘You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.’”

And Scripture tells us plainly: “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession” (1 Peter 2:9). He has made us “kings and priests to His God and Father” (Revelation 1:6).

We are not less than. The One who made us already baptized us into royalty, into priesthood, into the prophetic. We have to take the crown and recognize our place as the Church of Jesus.

Consider the lilies of the field. They do not labor or spin, yet not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of them. If God clothes the grass with such beauty, how much more will He beautify you — you whom He loves so deeply? (Matthew 6:28-30)

He is adorning you. He is preparing you. You were made to carry His beauty, His light, His royalty.

One day, that light that has been gathering inside us is going to reach the surface. We will not carry pain or fear anymore. We will be truly golden.

✨ A Golden Dimension:

The Lord Jesus took me into a golden dimension and showed me golden bodies in the spirit. It connects perfectly with this idea of becoming golden and His ultimate plan for us. I will be sharing this experience in my next post. You will not want to miss it
